The Project
RAM Building Consultancy was requested to carry out a Roof Condition Survey for one of the work repair sheds. The building had been experiencing multiple water ingress issues, and one area had to be cordoned off due to the severity of the leaks. Given the age of the repair shed, the client needed detailed information to plan future repairs or replacements.
The Challenges
The roof of the repair shed was old, and both its overall condition and that of the skylights, gutter lines, and drainage systems were deteriorating. Understanding the full extent of the damage was critical in determining whether repairs or a full roof replacement was the best course of action.
The Solution
RAM conducted a thorough Roof Condition Survey, inspecting both the external and internal sections of the roof. This comprehensive approach provided accurate data on the roof’s condition, its expected lifespan, and options for either repair or replacement. RAM’s detailed report gave the client the clarity they needed to address the ongoing leaks and plan for the future.
The Results
Using RAM’s report, the client had the necessary repairs completed by a contractor, successfully resolving the immediate issues. Pleased with the results, the client commissioned another 5 days of testing to identify and address further leaks in another section of the shed.
