Patched Three Times and Still Leaking?
This is how it often happens.
A roofer visits the site, identifies a potential defect above where the leak has appeared, and carries out a repair. The job is signed off, and everyone assumes the problem has been solved.
Then, a few weeks or months later, the leak returns.
The reason is simple: the repair was made to the assumed source of the leak. While that defect almost certainly needed repairing, it may not have been the cause of the water ingress, or it may have been just one of several entry points.
Water rarely travels in a straight line. It can run across roof decks, through insulation, and along structural elements before finally appearing on a ceiling tile or internal wall. By the time you see the leak, the actual point of entry could be several metres away.
