The Project
RAM Building Consultancy was called in by a school after receiving a dangerous building notice from the local authority. The gable walls were failing at high levels, putting building users at significant risk. As the buildings were Grade II listed, any work required strict notification and approval from the local authority.

The Solution
RAM successfully submitted an Urgent Capital Support bid for the demolition and rebuilding of the gable walls, ensuring the reuse of ornate and decorative brickwork to meet local conservation standards. The bid also included a full roof replacement and insulation upgrade to comply with modern building regulations. The project was fully tendered and programmed as part of the bid process, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimal disruption.
The Results
Once funding was secured, the school followed a classroom re-allocation plan, closely coordinating with the contractor to avoid disruption to daily activities. The project was completed on time and within budget, successfully restoring the building and enhancing its safety without impacting school operations.
