CHALLENGE:
With the school teaching facilities not expanding at the same rate as pupil demand, the primary school were facing an increasing uphill battle for space for students and for teaching staff to have quite office space.
SOLUTION:
RAM Building Consultancy engaged with the trust to carry a feasibility study and budgets to ensure the academy trust could plan budgets and ensure they could achieve the maximum space for their budget. RAM carried out initial designs, for two additional classrooms, with toilet facilities and a new office space.
The scheme was fully tendered utilising RAM’s approved supply chain for the works.
RESULT:
Following planning approval, the works were awarded to R1 Construction on a cost and quality basis. The project commenced within 4 weeks of notification and due to the design completion was all done within an 8-week period, allowing the school to utilise their new space for the 2020 September school term.
