SUMMARY:
The client requested for RAM Building Consultancy to complete an audit for the roofing and waterproofing for a new build project, reviewing plans and specifications from the architects and the design team.
THE PROBLEM:
Following various issues further down the line with new build projects with leaks and issues with roofing materials, a decision was made to engage with RAM from the offset to review the designs to highlight any issues early on within the project.
THE METHOD:
Desktop reviews of specifications and drawings, attending meetings with the design team and architects to highlight concerns presenting themselves from the information provided well before the project commenced.
THE SOLUTION:
Highlight concerns to the relevant teams of main contractors, to enable them to revise the specifications and ensure that the materials used are applicable and the falls are achievable.
